September 19, 2026!
Adair Park, Atlanta Beltline Southwest Trail

NEW! Adair Park II Parade Line-up and Route Map!
Parade line-up at 7:15pm, step-off at 8:00pm
The new start is a block from West End MARTA. Shuttles run from the finish to MARTA till 11pm!

Everyone is always invited to make a lantern and walk in the parade!
Think Mardi Gras Day in lantern form. Be your own theme.

Make a lantern!
You do need a lantern to march in the parade. Check out our Lantern Ideas page or come to a workshop! New this year - join an ensemble! Take the ensemble workshop or make your own on-theme lantern.
See the workshop series below.

Come to parade line-up!
Line-up is a special time. When the sun goes down and the lanterns light up, it's just beautiful. Choose your spot to walk behind one of our five fabulous marching bands:
Atlanta Drum Academy
Black Sheep Ensemble
Seed & Feed Marching Abominables
Atlanta Freedom Band

Mausiki Scales & Common Ground Collective

Come to the All-Band Puppet Jam at the end!
That's where you can see all the lanterns in the parade and visit with all the giant puppets
and hear all the bands play!

Bike Friends!

Riding to the Beltline Lantern Parade has never been easier! The opening of the Beltline Southside Trail, the expansion of the parade route into the neighborhood streets, and the bike valet at the parade finale makes for a stellar bike-night-out.

Light up your bike! Come to line-up and walk your fancy bike in the parade or watch the parade go by and ride behind it to the finale at Lee + White. I predict that the first three blocks of the new route will be wide open. Go for Mayland Ave. at Pierce St. Don’t miss the All-Band-Giant-Puppet-Jam at the end! Did you know that Atlanta’s first lantern parade was on bicyles in 1893

1. You need a lantern to march. Otherwise, you're a spectator. We love spectators!

Get some lantern making ideas here or take a lantern workshop, schedule TBA.

2. Be ready to march at 8pm behind your favorite band on Catherine St. in Adair Park. See map. We step-off at 8:15pm sharp!
